He completed the residency in diagnostic imaging at the same institution and successfully passed the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology examination in 2012. Concurrent with the residency, he obtained a master of science (M.S.) degree in diagnostic imaging and completed all the hours required for the chiropractic orthopedic diplomate program.

During the diagnostic imaging residency, he attended the Advanced Orthopaedic and Joint MRI with Emphasis on Small Joints seminar by Stephen J. Pomeranz, MD.
He participated in a hospital rotation in Chattanooga, TN with medical radiologist Chip Kyle, MD, which gave him experience with a variety of cases including, but not limited to, musculoskeletal, chest/thorax, neuroradiology, emergency, and GI/GU. He also highly values his experience observing medical radiologists Juliet Fallah, MD and Uday Narahari, MD at Du Page Medical Group in Naperville and Glen Ellyn IL, throughout the latter half of his residency.

Upon finishing his residency, Dr. Choi completed a short-term fellowship at the University of San Diego in California under Donald Resnick, MD.  He also completed post-graduate training in the musculoskeletal radiology department at Seoul National University Hospital, in Bundang, South Korea, where he encountered a variety of musculoskeletal pathologies through plain radiography, MRI, CT, and ultrasound.

Dr. Choi's primary goal is to serve chiropractic physicians with imaging consultation to ensure the best quality care for their patients, share responsibility/liability, and help doctors to focus on and spend more time with their patients.
